Gautam Gambhir pronunciation ; born 14 October 1981) is an Indian international cricketer. He is a left-handedopening batsman who plays domestic cricket for Delhi, and captains Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Bangladesh in 2003, and played his first Test the following year against Australia. He captained the Indian team in six ODIs from late-2010 to late-2011 with India winning all six matches. He played an integral part in India’s wins in the finals of both the 2007 World Twenty20 (75 from 54 balls) and the 2011 Cricket World Cup (97 from 122 balls).

Gambhir is the only Indian and one of four international cricketers to have scored five hundreds in five consecutive Test matches. He is the only Indian batsman to have scored more than 300 runs in four consecutive Test series. As of February 2014, he is the highest run-scorer for India in Twenty20 Internationals.[2] Under Gambhir’s captaincy, the Kolkata Knight Riders won their maiden IPL title in 2012 and again in 2014. Fellow Indian team-mate Virender Sehwag called Gambhir “the best Indian opener since Sunil Gavaskar”.

gautam gambhir education :

Gautam Gambhir was all set to become a domestic bully who scored runs by the dozens against Test sides in tour matches but failed at the highest level when he had suddenly decided to perform otherwise. There were times in his early days when Gambhir had inspired confidence, but then walked into ruts off inconsistency. He was axed from the squad ahead of the 2007 World Cup, something that had jolted him. However, that was to push him to become one of India’s most reliable batsmen in the years to come.
Gambhir scored two successive double-hundreds in 2002 (one of them against the visiting Zimbabweans) made him a strong contender for India’s opening slot in all three forms of the game. He made his ODI debut against Bangladesh in the TVS Cup in 2003. In his third match, he scored 71 and was named Man of the Match. His maiden century (103 off 97 balls) came againstSri Lanka in 2005. In 2004, he made his Test debut against Australia in the fourth and last Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy but did himself no favours by getting out for 3 and 1. He made amends in his second Test, however, scoring 96 against the South Africans. His maiden Test century came against Bangladesh in December 2004. Gambhir then made a number of starts in the home series against Pakistan in 2005, but was able to make only one half-century in six innings. He made 97 in Zimbabwe later that year, but failed to reach 30 against Sri Lanka at home, repeatedly struggling against Chaminda Vaas, and was subsequently dropped from the Test team. He was replaced in Tests by Wasim Jaffer, who made a double hundred and a hundred in seven Tests.

gautam gambhir batting videos :

eisty and firm, capricious and correct, insatiable and insecure, Gautam Gambhir was one of the most complete batsmen between 2008 and the 2011 World Cup. He opened well in all three forms of the game. He could be more aggressive than Virender Sehwag, played the kind of back-to-the-wall innings that would do Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman proud, and accumulated without taking any risks, much like Sachin Tendulkar has been doing in the last quarter of his career. Either side of that period, though, lived disappointment with his technical flaws dominating his other attributes. Still, with over 10000 runs from his 56 Tests, 147 ODIs and 37 T20Is – not to mention leading Kolkata Knight Riders to two IPL titles – Gambhir has been a grand contributor to Indian cricket Gambhir almost did not make it, “not wanting to play anymore” when he was dropped for the 2007 World Cup. For about eight first years of his career, he was the domestic cheque that would not be honoured at international level. While the bowlers on the Ranji circuit swore by this little left-hand batsman, he had just two international centuries to show after 13 Tests and 19 ODIs when he was left out of the World Cup party.
He came back with massive runs in domestic cricket, a few important technical adjustments, and with the reputation of being the best player of spin in India, outside the international side. A century in his second ODI back and a final-winning fifty in the inaugural World Twenty20 paved the way for his Test return. Test fifties against Murali and Mendis in the summer of Murali and Mendis in 2008 told him he belonged. In his next 13 Tests, he scored eight centuries: centuries to set up wins, centuries to bat opposition out, and centuries to hold on for draws, including the near 11-hour marathon in Napier. The Arjuna Award came his way, the ICC named him the Test player of 2009, but much more tellingly Sehwag called him the best Indian Test opener since Sunil Gavaskar. He scored a match-winning 97 in the 2011 World Cup final.

yuvraj singh 6 sixes video :

For whatever he has achieved as an Indian cricketer, Yuvraj Singh will perhaps most be associated with September 19, 2007. For it was on this unforgettable day at Kingsmead that he etched his name into the record books by hitting six consecutive sixes off a hapless Stuart Broad during the India-England match of the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 in South Africa.Virender Sehwag (68) and Gautam Gambhir (58) gave a solid foundation to India, but that over off Broad eclipsed every thing else. A bickering of sorts with Andrew Flintoff at the end of the previous over led to the hammering of Broad who was hit all around the ground by a charged up Yuvraj. It was the fourth time in the history of cricket, but first in Twenty20 internationals that a batsman hit a six off each of the six balls of an over. Needless to say, it was an
he first delivery of Broad’s final over was swung over midwicket for a massive six and the ball landed outside the stadium. The second ball was flicked behind square for six more. On the third ball, Yuvraj backed away and carved the ball over the covers. By now, the fans were going berserk. An ashen-faced Broad changed his angle to around

the stumps, but erred in length. A full toss outside the off stump was slashed over backward point. Four balls, four sixes. The crowd now
Back over the stumps went Broad, but Yuvraj was ready. On bent knee, he heaved the ball over midwicket for his fifth six. Ravi Shastri, one of four batsmen to have hit six sixes in an over, was commentating at the time and was in raptures.
Broad trundled in, delivered a half-volley and turned his head as Yuvraj smashed the ball over midwicket to make it six sixes off the over. Yuvraj’s team-mates went mad in celebrating a 12-ball half-century, the fastest in T20Is.In response, Vikram Solanki, Kevin Pietersen and Paul Collingwood made fine contributions but could not emulate what they had witnessed in India’s innings. Eventually, England fell short by 18 runs, failing to to register a win in the Super Eights. Poignantly, they were 171/5 after 18 overs – the same score India had been at after the 18th over before Yuvraj ransacked 36 from Broad’s over.

The duo is likely to get married by February next year. Sources said that Yuvraj’s father Yograj Singh also met the girl when she was in Chandigarh. He is one of two Indian batsmen to ever score a century in all three formats of international cricket. He is considered as one of the finest T20 batsman. However his Test career did not last long due to his aggressive approach with the bat.Raina made his ODI debut in July 2005 against Sri Lanka at the age of 19. However, his Test debut came about five years later, in July 2010, against the same opposition. He scored a hundred on his Test debut. He was a part of the Indian squad that won the 2011 World Cup.

suresh raina education :

Suresh Raina was born on 27 November 1986 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He has completed his B.Com graduation with correspondence from Delhi University. At a very small age of 15 years, he took up cricket seriously and shifted to Lucknow to attend the specialist government Sports College. As ‘Hard work never fails’, just after two years, he was selected for U-19 tour to England for test matches. There he scored two half centuries. This started a beautiful shine in his career. He continued to play several matches and subsequently won many. He was then awarded a Border-Gavaskar scholarship to train at the Australian Cricket Academy. Suresh Raina is an Indian cricketer, who is a left-handed middle-order batsman and an occasional off-spin bowler. He made his ODI debut against Srilanka in 2005 and Test debut in 2010 opposite the same country. In 2011, India has won the World Cup and Suresh was one of the team members. He is also the highest run-getter and has taken the highest catches in Indian premier league (IPL). He represented India at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

suresh raina ipl record :

Raina is the captain of Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016. He was signed by the Chennai Super Kings for US$ 5 million for the first three years of the tournament. He made significant contributions in the first edition of the tournament to compensate the Chennai Super Kings over the losses of key players in Matthew Hayden, Michael Hussey and Jacob Oram. In 2010 IPL, his consistent batting throughout the series won him applause and became the all-time run-getter of the league surpassing Australian legend Adam Gilchrist halfway down the tournament.

t the raw age of 18, a fresh-faced Suresh Raina broke into the Indian ODI squad with a reputation of possessing loads of talent, similar to the way Yuvraj Singh broke into the international scenes in cricket. However, Raina’s career has since resembled a cardiograph showing variable readings at different junctures of his career. Making his debut against Sri Lanka, Raina fell for a first-ball duck to a Muttiah Muralidaran doosra in 2005. But a determined effort to validate his selection soon hallmarked his approach. Often, after disappointments at the international level, Raina came back with strong domestic displays in the Ranji Trophy and the Indian T20 League to knock hard on the doors of selectors. When he returned after being dropped for a year-and-half in 2008, three centuries and a string of half-centuries marked his renewed desire to make the most of opportunities, an intent highlighted by three stand-out knocks in the 2008 Asia Cup. By the time Raina made a commanding century on his Test debut against Sri Lanka in 2010, he already had ample limited overs experience with nearly a 100 ODIs, three successful seasons of the Indian T20 League and a captaincy stint; all at the age of 23. However, Raina’s shaky technique against quality pace bowling and more importantly his inefficiency to tackle steep bounce kept him on the shores of the Test squad more often than not. In 2011, he was amongst the 15 Indian players who saw history being created at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, where the Men in Blue lifted the coveted World Cup trophy after 28 long years. Be it a well-timed innings or part time spin bowling or leaping around on the field taking brilliant catches and saving crucial runs, there is an underlying sincerity in whatever Raina does on the cricket field. Raina has been the crux of India’s fielding revolution that saw the theory of lazy and sloppy efforts being thrown out of the window in Indian cricket. With age on his side, Raina’s only current concern will be to chalk and polish his technique against the short delivery and turn into a regular in the Indian Test squad. Raina has an immaculate impression in the Indian T20 league and hence, Chennai retained him for the seventh season in 2014

In 2004, the producers Ramesh Sharma and Pahlaj Nilani announced that Ranaut would make her film debut with the Deepak Shivdasani-directed I Love You Boss.[4][20] The following year, an agent took her to the office of the producer Mahesh Bhatt, where she interacted with the director Anurag Basu and auditioned for the lead role in the romantic thriller Gangster.[14][21] Bhatt felt that she was too young for the role and signed Chitrangada Singh instead. However, Singh was later unavailable to do the film and Ranaut was contracted as a replacement for Gangster,[21] opting out of I Love You Boss.[20] She was cast in the central role of Simran, an alcoholic woman caught in a romantic triangle between a notorious gangster (played by Shiney Ahuja) and a sympathetic friend (played by Emraan Hashmi). Ranaut was only seventeen while filming and said that she "had difficulty first in understanding and then unwinding from the character", describing her craft as "raw and immature".[22] Released in 2006, Gangster emerged as a critical and commercial success and her performance was praised.[23][24] Raja Sen of Rediff.com said that "Kangana is a remarkable find, the actress coming across with great conviction. Hers is the pivotal character and an extremely difficult role to essay, but she manages it well [...] Kangana's nuances [of an alcoholic character] are disconcertingly realistic."[25] She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, along with various other debut awards.[26] Ranaut's next role was in the Mohit Suri-directed drama Woh Lamhe (2006), a semi-biographical film based on the schizophrenic actress Parveen Babi and her relationship with the director Mahesh Bhatt.[27] She said that portraying Babi had left her emotionally drained, as she had begun to "feel her desolation and loneliness."[28] Film critic Subhash K. Jha wrote that Ranaut "is the first female performer of Bollywood since Smita and Shabana who isn't scared to strip her soul naked for the camera", adding that she is a "hugely expressive actress with a phenomenal ability to convey torment, hurt and incredulity through the eyes".[29] Despite positive reviews, the film underperformed at the box office.[30][31] The following year, Ranaut portrayed an aspiring musician in Suneel Darshan's musical thriller Shakalaka Boom Boom, alongside Bobby Deol, Upen Patel and Celina Jaitly.[32] The film's production was marred by a dispute between Ranaut and Darshan; she objected to her voice being dubbed by another artist, but he insisted that he needed a particular "twang and accent" for her character.[33] India Today described the film as an "amateur mess" and the film proved to be a box office flop.[24][34] She next reunited with Anurag Basu for the ensemble drama Life in a... Metro, playing the supporting role of Neha, a shrewd socialite engaged in an affair with her married boss (played by Kay Kay Menon). Despite a poor initial run at the box office, the film emerged as a profitable venture.[35] Khalid Mohamed of Hindustan Times was critical of the film, noting its lack of originality and realism.[36] In a more positive review, Raja Sen wrote that Ranaut "is refreshing [...] and manages to herd her emotions well, playing a complex role but hardly ever overreaching", but criticised her delivery of English lines.[37] For her role, Ranaut was awarded the Stardust Award for Breakthrough Performance – Female.[26] Ranaut next portrayed a village girl in Dhaam Dhoom (2008), a Tamil romantic thriller, opposite Jayam Ravi. Production on the film was temporarily halted when the director, Jeeva, died of cardiac arrest and the film was completed by the crew members.[38] A review carried by Post wrote that Ranaut had "little scope" in a role that did not suit her.[39] India Today described her next film, the Madhur Bhandarkar-directed drama Fashion (2008), as a "landmark" in her career.[23] Set against the backdrop of the Indian fashion industry, the film co-starred Priyanka Chopra and Mugdha Godse and featured Ranaut as Shonali Gujral, a substance abusing supermodel struggling to cope with her foundering career. Because the media speculated that her role was based on the former model Geetanjali Nagpal (which both Ranaut and Bhandarkar denied),[40] the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), ordered a stay on the film's release, approving it only after a script narration.[a][41] With a worldwide revenue of 600 million Indian rupees (₹), approximately US$10 million, Fashion emerged as a commercial success,[42] and was listed by Subhash K. Jha as one of the best films of the decade with women protagonists.[43] Ranaut's performance drew unanimous critical acclaim.[23] Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama praised her confident portrayal of the character and believed that she was the real star of the film,[44] and Nikhat Kazmi of The Times of India added that she "does an exquisite metamorphosis from a wispy, high-strung, nervous child-woman to a stunning ramp diva."[45] Ranaut's portrayal earned her several awards, including the National Film Award and Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.

After completion of secondary schooling she moved on to Singapore to pursue her higher studies. Sonam graduated in Economics and Political science from United World College. She also attained regular classes of theatres and is also a well performing classical dancer. Her sleek physique and glossy appearance really makes her a stunning women personality of Indian cinema. After the completion of her higher studies Sonam Kapoor flew back to India from Singapore. She joined as an assistant of the unit of filmmaking Black with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. But her glow and dedication for the movies forced Bhansali to think upon such issue, and he recently added her as a lead actress of his future upcoming movie named Saawariya in 2004. The movie didn’t have much viewer’s response, but still her acting skills were applauded all around the Bollywood corner. She debut her movie with Ranbir Kapoor, as Ranbir was also the debut actor in this movie. There have been many ongoing rumours regarding the Sonam’s love life but she completely denies such type of relationship. There was a leak that Sonam had crush on Ranbir but later both these actors rejected the critic’s comments. Sonam has ongoing Bollywood controversy against Deepika and Anushka; let’s see when this cold gets terminated. We could only say that Sonam is the youth icon at present in Bollywood. We wish her success to a great life and career of future. With excellent eye catch up and magnifying look she catches the eye of directors of Bollywood. Soon she got her second break and appeared in the movie named Delhi 6 opposite to Abhishek Bachchan this was yet another flop movie on Bollywood box office and had mixed reviews on it. Still the striking performance of Sonam Kapoor was praised on every corner. Later in 2010 she appeared in I hate Luv Story’s opposite to Imran Khan. This movie was her first success that appeared to a big hit on box officeHer next launch was Aisha where she appeared opposite to Abhay Deol.
